Architect Santiago Calatrava is the modern day Antoni Gaudi of Spain, in that most of his striking designs are influenced by the natural world around us. Like Gaudi and his nature inspired work, Calatrava’s architectural forms resemble that of living organisms. Whether it be the shape of a bird’s wing, or the spine and skeletal structure of another organism, his work takes on a natural and dynamic form.

In the same spirit, our birdhouse design is in some ways inspired by it’s intended occupants. Though perceived as a larger den, only the upper half of the structure is actually occupiable, and the pitched side panels are wrapped by vertical, slightly bent bands which mimic the profile of a bird’s wing. Gaps between these bands allow for natural ventilation.

What’s In Your Delivered Package: The birdhouse will be delivered as a kit of parts which requires to be assembled (assembly instructions included). Assembly will require exterior grade wood glue (included in your Chirp box). If the option of preassembled is selected prior to purchasing, the birdhouse will be shipped fully assembled. We want you to enjoy your purchase, but if you are not completely satisfied, we have a Return and Exchange policy.
