Chirp No. 7 - ZAHA
Chirp No. 7 - ZAHA
Zaha Hadid was the first woman architect to receive the coveted Pritzker Architecture Prize. She is the source of inspiration for aspiring women architects around the world as well as the design of this birdhouse.
An angular, sloping roof creates a sheltered area for the bird’s nest while other fragmented components define the surrounding walls and platform for this dwelling. Like most of Hadid’s work, the shapes and forms of the Zaha birdhouse convey a sense of motion, which fits nicely with the constant come and go of open-nester birds.
